Step 2 — Gather wood, stone and more
Trees, stone deposits and iron mines are scattered across the map. Everything you build starts here.
Trees, stone deposits and mines are dotted all over the map, and they are the start of everything: a flag needs wood, a workshop needs stone, a sword needs iron.
How gathering works
- Tap a tree, a deposit or a mine inside your circle.
- Choose the gather action. Trees offer Harvest (leaves the tree standing) and Chop Down (fells it, for more wood).
- A timer bar appears over your head. Stay still until it finishes — walking away or being attacked cancels it.
- The materials land in your bag, and the node either regrows or moves to a new spot after a while.
Your bag has a weight limit
Every item weighs something, and your bag shows the total against what you can carry. At the limit the game refuses new pickups until you drop, use or craft something. Backpacks raise the limit, and each backpack you own counts — you never wear them.
Foraging
Bushes and plants across the world give berries, fruit and herbs. Some heal you when eaten; others become meals at a workshop later on.
What the tutorial asks
First, a few pieces of wood from any tree. Later it comes back for a bigger load — wood, stone and leather — to build your workshop.
