The Sword

The standard melee weapon and the first real one most players craft. Everything the forge can do, it can do to a sword.

The Sword is the baseline weapon: reliable damage, a quick swing, and no requirements. It is a common recipe once you have iron, and it is the weapon the tutorial hands you first.

It enhances at the forge step by step, takes a metal and a gem at a Metallurgy Station, and shows its tier in its name when dropped or listed. Skinned variants such as the Gilded Sword are the same weapon in different clothes.
